Greetings and Happy 2022, Tamara!

I appreciate you taking the time to share more deeply your reasons for claiming the Bible to be outdated, etc. These are things that add actual value to conversations.

You've shared a lot of things and I'll be digging into them as I can, but my duties (e.g., to provide for my family, friends, and those in need, to run my businesses, etc., etc., etc. -- we live in busy times, don't we?) will prevent me from taking this all in one big bite.

In the meantime and as a starting point that proves the existence of an eternal, self-existing being (whom I know is the God of the Bible), is that you and I exist and are having this conversation right now.

That anything exists now proves beyond any shadow of doubt the existence of a self-existing and eternal being, unless, of course, one is willing to accept the unsupportable idea that something can come from nothing.

There is no way within the realm of science or philosophy or any other area of study that one can support the existence of anything at all in the absence of that being, and understanding who that being is is the foundation for understanding everything else in the cosmos.

Now, as an extension to the reasonable conclusion that the current existence of anything proves both the presence and power of an eternal and self-existent being, it also seems reasonable to understand that such a being would be the master over their creation and could thus make animals talk, support the construction of an ark to save the species necessary to explain those we see today, raise the dead, bless a virgin with a child, and all the other things you mentioned and did not mention.

In the end, all these things rely on whether or not we recognize who that very powerful self-existing and eternal being is.

Once we know Him, everything else fits perfectly.

In the absence of knowing Him, nothing makes sense.

Onward!

Guy
