It's this kind of apparent corporate confusion that makes me reluctant to upgrade my Apple devices.

It seems that every time Apple announces upgrades, they include both steps forward and steps backward.

Because of that, I tend to just use the Apple products I have until they are either completely outdated or inoperable. I don't like spending my money on improvements that are accompanied by diminishments.
